Intelligent design


President Bush has said that he believes that intelligent design should be taught alongside evolution as competing theories in US schools. I wonder why he said that ? Most of the scientific establishment feel that though intelligent design is not a tested scientific theory he has tried to cleverly introduce students, particularly Christian, to his own religious belief. This type of debate will get no one anywhere. It is the same as teaching astrology as a science in India when there is no scientific basis.

    Unfortunatly, ideas like this, mysticism, are becoming increasingly popular. At the same time, people don't seem as serious about organized religon. Almost as if these new superstitions are taking their place.
